Storming Ahead!

Storming Ahead!

The reason I haven’t written an update in a while is that so much is happening with my next book I’ve barely had time to keep track myself!

Hopefully by the end of this you’ll be just as excited as I am.

My Family is So Scottish is nearly ready!

My Family is so Scottish

We have illustrations, we have words, and we have a proof! Over the past few months, Karen MacAllister and I have been working evenings and weekends to get ‘My Family is So Scottish’ ready for public release. Massive thanks to my reader group too for your responses and suggestions early on in this process - this has been such a valuable step and I shall definitely be doing that again.

For those who don’t know:

My Family is So Scottish is a rhyming story that highlights the many wonderful things about having a Scottish family and features a diverse set of characters.

Inspired by my own extended family, there's over 50 Scottish references and even a nod to my own Scottish / Indian wedding.

My family is so Scottish spread

Packed with colourful illustrations, I cannot wait for this book to be out and read by children & families!

In fact, I couldn’t wait for the proofs to arrive so I spent 2 hours making my own home-made copy. You can see a short video of this here. I think I did a good job!

You’ll be able to pre-order VERY soon!

This time my Kickstarter will be focused on giving my best supporters a better deal on the book. When pre-orders open you’ll be the first to know, and will have the opportunity to buy the book at a discount and get it before everyone else.

In the meantime, get to know me and my writing process through this lovely interview I did with fellow indie author, Silpa Kona
